Al-Rissouni confirms that every time has its jurisprudence

Dr. Ahmad Al-Rissouni, Vice-President of the World Union of Muslim Scholars, said that “every time has its Islamic jurisprudence; it has become an urgent need for renewal and creation of a jurisprudence specific to our time.”

In his speech at the seminar on “Milestones in the Renewal of Contemporary Islamic Discourse”, Dr. Al-Rissouni stressed that Islamic discourse “needs to be viewed broadly as the scholar Ibn Ashour said”.

Al-Risouni pointed out that the Islamic discourse still has a great deal of emotional, enthusiasm, mood, and sometimes demagogic and far-fetched slogans, calling for scientific rationality. The mind without scientific tools becomes a means of superstition.
